PURPOSE:To provide an end face polishing device which automates polishing of the end face of a workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece W is placed in the eccentric position of a rotatable disc 30. A plurality of bars 26 to guide the workpiece W is erected vertically to a base bed 20. During polishing, the rubber 14 of a disc 13 is brought into contact with the top surface of the workpiece W. The rubber 14 fixed to the disc 13 presses the workpiece W, and the rotation force of a motor 2 is transmitted to the workpiece W through the disc 13 and the rubber 14 to rotate the workpiece W. In which case, the bottom of the workpiece W is polished. A one-way clutch 10 is provided with a mechanism which transmits a rotation force only in one way and is brought into a free state in a reverse direction. Through expansion and contraction of the rod 31a of an air cylinder 31, an upper device 1 is elevatable. Thus the end face of the workpiece W can be polished in a smooth surface through simple automatic operation. |
