PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet image receiving material having a high ink absorbing speed and large absorbing capacity, reduced in unevenness and curl and capable of performing high speed printing. CONSTITUTION: An aq. ink receiving layer based on highly water-absorbable pigment and a water-soluble polymeric adhesive is provided on papermaking sheet based on cellulose pulp and characterized by that the standard deviation of elongation in a CD direction of 1cm<2> within a unit sheet is 30% or less of the absolute value of elongation in water in a ratio of 0.5-15g/m<2> . |
