PURPOSE: To provide a power steering device in which assist force can be controlled according to a vehicle speed without using any electronic equipment. CONSTITUTION: A fixed throttle 11 is arranged between a flow rate controlling mechanism F and the first and the second control units 1, 2. In the flow rate controlling mechanism F, a supply flow rate Q is varied according to a number N of engine revolutions. Therefore, a differential pressure between the front and the rear of the fixed throttle 11 is also varied according to the number N of engine revolutions. In a variable throttle valve 12, its opening is varied according to the differential pressure between the front and the rear of the fixed throttle 11. When the number N of engine revolutions is low, the variable valve 12 is closed by means of the differential pressure between the front and the rear of the fixed throttle 11. When the number N of engine revolutions is increased, the opening for the variable throttle valve 12 is increased by means of the differential pressure between the front and the rear of the fixed throttle 11. |
