PURPOSE: To record the state of a video game machine outside in an inexpensive and easily portable form by providing a magnetic card reader/writer to be controlled by the video game machine on the video game machine and using a magnetic card as an external storage means. CONSTITUTION: A video game machine 1 is provided with a magnetic card reader/writer 2 to be controlled by the video game machine 1. When recording and preserving the state of the video game machine 1, a magnetic card 3 is mounted on the magnetic card reader/writer 2 and this state is recorded in the magnetic card 3. On the other hand, when reproducing the recorded state on the video game machine 1, the magnetic card 3 is mounted on the magnetic card reader/writer 2 and the state is reproduced on the video game machine 1. Thus, the state of the video game machine 1 can be recorded outside in the inexpensive and easily portable form. |
