PURPOSE: To stabilize a releasing load for a steering column. CONSTITUTION: In a capsule 4 which can be divided into one side part 4A and the other side part 4B, the connecting part 4C is bent for connecting one side part 4A to the other side part 4B opposedly. Both sides of a bracket 3 are clamped between contact faces 4d, 4d' in one side part 4A and the other side part 4B in connecting conditions so as to hold a steering column 2. In the contact faces 4d, 4d', recessed parts 4j, 4j' are formed. In this way, the contact faces 4d, 4d' are hardly twisted in production of the capsule 4, as the recessed parts 4j, 4j' are arranged, and face pressures for the contact faces 4d, 4d' can be unified. Therefore, a releasing load for the steering column 2 can be stabilized. |
