PURPOSE: To provide the stuffing for a sliding nozzle hole which hardly contaminates the molten steel, and is excellent in the openability. CONSTITUTION: The stuffing for a sliding nozzle hole is made of calcium and aluminate clinker having the composition consisting of, by weight, 30-90% Al2 O3 , 10-70% CaO, and 5% balance. The stuffing has the appropriate melting point required for the openability of the stuffing, and prevents the contamination of the molten steel, and flaws in a super thin sheet. |
