PURPOSE: To efficiently produce an inexpensive aspherical lens in molding of an optical lens to be loaded on various optical devices. CONSTITUTION: In a mold 5 for molding a lens composed of a female mold 2 having an optical functional face 2a on a depressed face, a transcription excess face 2 and a flat part 2f, a male mold 1, a first body mold 3 and a second body mold 4, a cylindrical glass raw material 60 whose diameter 70 is (outer diameter of the female mold 2 - the flat part 2f of the female mold/2 +α) and its both ends are flat is formed, and compression and opening are repeated by a press head 8 to form an aspherical lens.
