Pitch degradation with white rot fungus

摘要

The fungus Phlebia tremellosa is useful in reducing the pitch content of pulps and pulpwoods used in making cellulosic products. If incubated for a sufficiently long time the fungus also has the ability to degrade and/or modify lignin.
