PURPOSE: To enable a player to easily hit balls with clubs of any numbers by forming leading edges which are liable to enter between a ball and the ground surface. CONSTITUTION: The heights from the horizontal plane inclusive of sole surfaces 4 to the leading edges 3 of the iron golf club set formed by subjecting the ball-fitting face surfaces 2 of heads to chamfering from the leading edges at their bottom ends to the sole surfaces 4 are set at the same height for all the numbers of the clubs.
