PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that the balloon member of a balloon catheter returns to the folded state for storing, and does not expand against will after it was expanded for use. SOLUTION: The balloon catheter having a stiff, elastically deformable basic body comprises a proximal end, a distal end, at least one axial interior tube, a joint member of the tube at the proximal end, and a tubular basic body 2 having a balloon member 5, the interior of which communicates with the tube, arranged on the circumference of the end area 9 of the distal end, at least the end area 9 of the proximal end being stiff and elastically deformable. |
