<p>PURPOSE: To produce regenerated cellulose controlled in crystallinity using an inexpensive treatment liq. by a simple operation by regenerating cellulose contg. a metal absorbed therein and obtd. by dipping treatment of cellulose in a specific treatment liq. with an acid. CONSTITUTION: Cellulose is subjected to dipping treatment in an aq. metal/amine/alkali soln. having an OH<-> ion concn. (COH) of at most 0.15-0.20mol/l. The resulting cellulose contg. a metal absorbed therein at a metal/pyranose ring molar ratio of 0.2 to 0.4 is regenerated with an acid to prepare regenerated cellulose. According to the foregoing procedure, the aq. metal/amine/alkali soln. is used as an inexpensive treatment liq., while the crystallinity of regenerated cellulose can be controlled only by a simple metal absorption treatment. Since the configuration and mol.wt. of cellulose as the starting material are not changed at all, the procedure is useful as post-treatment of regenerated cellulose fiber and film, or the like.</p> |
