<p>PURPOSE: To record both a binary image and a halftone image each with an optimum density by preventing white drop-out from being generated by performing after-heating. CONSTITUTION: A CPU1 judges whether received image data (recording data) is a binary image data or a halftone image data based on the information informed in a protocol before communication. Then, when sub-scanning is temporarily stopped, a TPH control part 8 performs after-heating cover a specified first period by using recording data of the line recorded just before it. When this period for performing after-heating is judged as the binary image data by the CPU1, it is made to be a specified first period and when the recorded data is judged as the halftone image data by the CPU1, it is made to be a specified second period being smaller than the first period.</p> |
