PURPOSE: To provide the mold clamping device of a blow mold capable of synchronously driving mold clamping plates at a position not eccentric with respect to the center line position in the lateral direction of split molds. CONSTITUTION: First and second mold clamping plates 40, 42 having split molds respectively attached thereto and the movable plate 44 arranged at the position on the side opposite to the second mold clamping plate 42 of the first mold clamping plate 40 so as to be slidable in opposed relation to the first mold clamping plate 40 are provided and the first mold clamping plate 40 is supported in a slidable manner through a tie rod and the movable plate 44 and the second mold clamping plates 42 are connected. The center of rotation of a link mechanism 46 consisting of X-shaped link arms 66, 66 is provided at the center position A in the lateral direction of the split molds and both end parts of the link arms 66, 66 are attached at the position of the lateral direction center line A position equal distance of the movable plate 44 and the split molds of the first mold clamping plate 40 in a rotatable manner and the movable plate 44 is made synchronous to the first mold clamping plate 40. |
