<p>A conductive workpiece connected to the positive pole of a continuous current source forms one electrode and a composite shaping electrode is connected to the negative pole and penetrates progressively into the workpiece. In the inter-electrode space, electrolyte flows in a laminar stream. In the inter electrode space, the current density is increased by augmenting the conductivity of those parts of the shaping electrode producing the maximum hollows in the workpiece by providing e.g. coating, the shaping electrode with a more conductive material at these places.</p> |
