PURPOSE: To secure an excellent marking function by oozing out ink through a vacant space of a sintered compact of a stainless steel powder and besides suppressing abrasion of the sintered compact caused by contact with a paper sheet by a method wherein a marking head is basically formed of the stainless steel powder-sintered compact. CONSTITUTION: A marker for making paper applies coloring as a sign to an edge part of a paper sheet at a corresponding position when there is a defect on the paper sheet. In that case, a marking head 1 wherein an inside of a head support member 2 is made hollow, and it is made of a stainless steel powder- sintered compact is fitted to a slant surface at its crest, and an ink pot 3 wherein marking ink is contained and a string like permeating body 4 is stored is fitted to its bottom part. Therefore, ink supplied to a rear surface of the marking head 1 by the permeating body 4 can ooze out on a front surface of the marking head 1 through the vacant space of the sintered compact. Though the paper sheet P traveling at a high speed comes in contact with the sintered compact, it is difficult to be abraded, and an excellent marking function can be secured. |
