PURPOSE: To easily and reliably perform work, and respectively reduce the number of partitems, cost and installing manhours when a stepped inflator having a small diameter part on one end is installed in an air bag case. CONSTITUTION: An inserting hole 10 of an air bag case 1 into which a small diameter part 2 of an inflator is inserted is formed in an untrue circular shape or a circular shape lengthwise in the longitudinal direction of the air bag case 1, and a plate 12 having a shape insertable into the inserting hole 10 is installed on an end surface of the small diameter part 2 of the inflator, and the small diameter part 2 of the inflator is inserted into the inserting hole 10 from the opening part 1a side of the air bag case 1 together with the plate 12. The inflator 4 is rotated, and and the other end part of the inflator is fixded in a condition where the plate 12 is hooked on an edge part of the inserting hole 10. |
