The button has an outer plate (100) which is placed on the visible surface of the fabric. An inner plate (200) is placed on the other side of the fabric and is joined to a pin (300). The end of this is pointed (310) and is pushed through the fabric and fixed in a central hole (111) in the outer plate. The outer plate has a fixing wall (110) and a decorative outer wall (120). The hole is star shaped (111a) and deforms when the pin is passed through it and then closes into a groove (330) round the pin.
