The solid state image pick-up device comprises a multi channel charge coupled device(CCD) characterized by the feature that a transfer electrode(34), which is to transfer electrode to a neighboring channel, is formed with more than one conductive regions by interposing a resistant region inside the same transfer electrode(34) so that the channel potential below the transfer electrode(34) is graded according to the voltage applied to each conductive region.
