The moulding pan (1), of resin or plaster, has a removable, interchangeable silicone or polyurethane liner (2), whose surface imposes a decorative relief pattern on the casting. A lid (3) incorporates vents (30) and, on the underside, ribs (31), forming a serpentine groove (41) in the casting into which an e.g. metal-sheathed heating element is subsequently fitted. Surplus panel material, (mixed crushed stone and cement), escapes through the vents, together with entrapped air, displaced by vibrating the mould. The mould includes a side recess, accommodating the heating element terminals and connection box, and a central cavity for a temperature sensor. The element groove is finally filled flush with the cement mixture. |
