摘要

A color cathode-ray tube in which the brightness is improved while using the conventional electron gun and emitter layer as such, which is characterized in that both or either one of panel glass (3) and safety glass (1) which are used at a front side of the tube comprise glass having the property that a spectral transmission factor with respect to electromagnetic waves in the vicinity of a wavelength of 580-700 nm is relatively higher than that with respect to electromagnetic waves in the vicinity of a wavelength of 430 nm and that with respect to electromagnetic waves in the vicinity of a wavelength of 530 nm.
