This invention relates to a vibrating abrasive cleaning apparatus (3) and method which is powered by a hydraulic drive motor (18) mounted to a square tubing frame which is housed within an enclosure that is vibrated by an electric shaft assembly directly coupled to the hydraulic drive motor (18) and square tubing frame (30). The container assembly (26) is mounted on the rigid square tubing frame, as shown in the Figure, on one side by compression springs (592), on the opposite side by tension springs (554). The compression springs and tension springs have a different spring rate which produces better rolling of the media and therefore, faster parts circulation and cleaning. Further, the apparatus and method provides a unique interchangeable drainage assembly for recirculation of and filtering of the cleaning solvent used in the cleaning process through the use of a dual filter system (75) and then recirculates the solvent back into the container (26).
