Apparatus for assembling front seats and doors to motor vehicle

The apparatus positions the seats (1,2) to left and right of the vehicle which is brought in on a conveyor and stationed under the supporting frame (6) from which handling devices (4,5) are suspended above the respective seats. One handling device (4) is guided into position by the operator and is connected by a control line to the other device (5) which follows its movements robotically in a mirror-image master/slave relationship. Both devices are equipped with sensors of translation (X;X') and rotation about three pivot axes (Z1-Z3;Z1'-Z3').
