A revolutions counting apparatus for a golf-trolley wheel (4) includes a tilt switch device (5) comprised of two tilt switches anchored to the wheel (4) at an angular spacing of 90 DEG , so that there is no need for a fixed reference point. The wheel (4) and the device (5) can constitute an independently mountable unit. The apparatus includes control circuitry which emits counting signals only once both tilt switches have operated in a predetermined manner, particularly both been continuously in a closed state for a predetermined time and been continuously in an open state for a predetermined time. |
