Method for producing thermally insulated, truncated conical beakers

The beaker consists of an inner beaker and a corrugated outer casing, separately moulded and assembled subsequently. The outer casing firstly processed into a smooth section and subsequently corrugated to a smooth and truncated conical blank. The production machine consists of a number of moulds (16) on a star-shaped rotor (17). The moulds run consecutively through a unit for picking up the blank outer casings; a unit (22) in which the outer casings of the beakers are embossed; and a unit in which the inner beakers (27) are placed inside the outer casings. The moulds pass through a gluing unit (24), and pass through a unit (28) for setting the glue between the outer casings and inner beakers.
