This invention is a martial arts training device (10) for practicing hand and foot strikes having a striking pole with a cushioned end (12, 13), and an intermediate portion (11) which is propelled by one hand through and a hand grip (15). A trainer operates the device with his hands while another practises hitting the cushioned end.
