Simpler, more durable coded threads for designer labels, clothes etc.

A textile weave (10) esp. for labels and bands with weft and warp threads of polyester, viscose, cotton or similar is provided with a coding consisting of microscopically small particles. It has at least one weft or warp thread (13, 14) which directly contains the coding. Also claimed are (A) a process for identifying the weave with the coding where the coded thread or threads are woven in at the same time as the weave is mfd.; (B) the prodn. process for the weave yarn comprising at least one, esp. polymer, filament where the polymer melt for thread formation is doped with finely distributed microscopic particles; and (C) a variation of the yarn mfr. where the coded particles are introduced during twisting of a multi-filament yarn from several filaments.
