The office chair has an automatically resettable rotation device mounted beneath the seating surface (14) and which causes automatic rotation into a position in which lateral skids (24) run along the direction of the seating surface, enabling easy sliding of the chair on a carpeted floor, when the chair is unloaded. The rotation device (16) only allows rotation when load is removed from a spring by a person sitting on the seat, whereby two cylindrical plastic sleeves with angled profiles disengage from shape locking to allow mutual relative rotation. |
