Self-cleaning industrial vacuum cleaner

The vacuum cleaner has a device to clean the dust filter (30) lying behind the suction nozzle (24) and between the dust collection chamber (16) and the clean air chamber (34). The device releases the dust deposited on the dust chamber side of the filter by means of air contraflow, thus cleaning it and raising the overall efficiency. The device is a fan (18) which periodically subjects the filter to airflow opposing that present in normal operation. The filter is a cylindrical body with a high surface area for filtering. The air leaving the filter after its cleaning is driven away at an overpressure of no more than 80 kPa, preferably between 10 and 30 kPa.
