Menu-driven controller especially for central heating boiler

The controller carries a liquid crystal display panel (1) and, in addition to a number of permanently accessible controls (2), a number of keys (3) exposed by opening of a cover (4) when menu pages are to be called-up on the screen and the displayed data altered. The desired menu sequence can be entered in one line (E). One key serves to enter and establish the chosen number of pages, and this procedure is repeated until the entry phase is complete. Alternatively the pages may be searched according to priority and established by keystrokes when they appear on the panel, so that no page numbers need be entered.
