Combined pile yarn tension and feed control in weaving pile fabrics

摘要

Pile yarn supply and tension for weaving face-to-face velours and carpets is controlled by a computer which calculates the required values from the loom functions. A computer controlled pile yarn beam drive regulates both the supply rate and the yarn tension which are directly related by an intelligent tension controller. Also claimed is a system comprising a computer linked to all the loom functions to calculate the pile yarn requirements, a measuring system to feed the instantaneous dia. of the pile yarn beam to the computer and a motor controller which receives a feed back signal from the motor and sends it to the computer. The controller has a low speed circuit as a function of the pile height and loom speed. Also claimed is a loom with such a control system for the pile yarn beam drive.
