Coin deposit coupling mechanism for shopping trolleys

The shopping trolley coupling mechanism involves a coupling component (1) which fits into a stationary fixture, or into other shopping trolleys parked into such a stationary fixture. The coupling component is shaped into an approximately 180 deg curve (3) in the coupling area, and can move backwards and forwards within the coin deposit lock (2). The coupling component is either a rigid, solid component, such as a round steel bar, which is fixed so that it is able to rotate by approximately 90 deg within the covering of the coin deposit lock, or it is made of flexible material, such as a spiral spring, but is rigidly fixed within the coin deposit lock cover.
