<p>Nucleic acid sequence for a 'hammerhead' ribozyme against the insulin receptor substrate (IRS-1), and selected from the following: (a) 5'-TCGATGTGAC GCTACTGATG AGTCCGTGAG GACAAACTC TGGCCTAG-3', (b) fragments of (a) with at least 21 bases; and (c) nucleic acid sequences which hybridise under stringent conditions with (a) or (b), for use as a therapeutically active substance. Pharmaceutical compositions containing said sequence and the use thereof for treating tumours, alopecia, angiogenesis or baldness are also described.</p> |
