By-pass pressure control unit for IC engine fuel distribution circuit

The control unit, for an ic. engine fuel distribution circuit, consists of a housing with a diaphragm valve (46) forming first and second chambers. The housing has a fuel inlet connecting the distribution pipe constantly to the second chamber, an outlet connected to the first chamber, and a valve seat between the chambers. The diaphragm is held against the seat by a spring (66). The diaphragm, the spring and the seat are designed and positioned so that when the pressure exerted by the fluid in the second chamber exceeds that applied to the diaphragm by the spring, the diaphragm moves away from the seat and links the second chamber with the by-pass fuel outlet via the first chamber.
