This invention relates to novel substituted piperidine derivatives. More particularly, this invention relates to substituted phenyl 4-substituted-piperidinoalkanol derivatives of formula (I) wherein R1 is -CH3, -CH2OH, -COOH or -COO-(C1-6)alkyl; and A is hydrogen or hydroxy; the stereoisomers, enantiomers, racemic mixtures thereof or the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; which are useful as anti-histamines, anti-allergy agents and bronchodilators.
