The brake system comprises a housing half (2) which has a flange (5) which is joined by wheel bolts (44) and screws to the hub (41) and the wheel body (4). The housing half also has a cylindrical friction surface (6) on the inner edge by which the parking shoe brake introduces the adjustment moment into the housing flange. The tightening mechanism incorporates a hydraulic actuation unit, or an electromagnetic system.
