Connecting profile for water-tight cover plate fastening

The cover plate (1) is to be fastened to a base-shaped housing (2) with one open side. Along the profile extends a U-shaped groove (3) whose width is adapted to the cover plate thickness. A second groove (4) also extends along the profile, orthogonally to the first groove, which can be resiliently widened. The widening generates a gripping snap connection and is insertable onto the housing edge with a protrusion (5). Along the profile extends along a recess, contracting on the second groove widening. The recess retains a bolting element (6). The first groove width is pref. slightly less than the plate thickness to provide a fastness.
