Prevention of condensation in spaces openable to air e.g. pressure compensated water tank, for eliminating germ risk

The condensation prevention method involves using a pressure equalising unit arranged above the varying water level of a drinking water reservoir (2) in which temp. and relative humidity in the chamber and surrounding air are determined. When the relative humidity of the air in the chamber, related to the chamber temp. near to the wall, fails to reach a specified safety distance from the dew point, it is replaced by drier air. When the air humidity lies outside the safety distance from the dew point, a venting operation is effected with external air. Dried air is supplied in a circulation operation, only when the air is too damp.
