Service support method for telecommunication network node

The method involves transmitting information identifying the calling network node (GMSC), the telecommunication network, the information (V,SV) for identification of the network node source and the program version supporting the source. They are transmitted along with message signals between network nodes. A service table (SST) is addressed using the information on the queried node. The table contains information on the calling network node and the telecommunication network. The table also includes information on the source of the calling network node and the program versions supporting the services. A service level is indicated by comparing the information transmitted from calling node with information addressed to the service table.
