Semiconductor memory unit for computer

The semiconductor memory unit contains read/write memory (31 - 3n, DRAM), a control unit (4) and elements for simulating the presence of a storage medium. The unit uses the existing hardware of a floppy disk drive for writing and reading. An electromagnetic head field is arranged at the point where the read/write head of the disk drive is moving, to pass the data current to the control unit. The control unit writes this data to or reads the data from the read/ write memory, which is either non-volatile or is supplied with a voltage source (6).
