Slaughterhouse animal cadaver splitter incorporates body flaps

An assembly (10) splits the two halves of an animal cadaver (10) as this is moved along a slaughterhouse conveyor (14), by means of a vertical knife blade (36) moving up and down under power (46, 48). The assembly may also move parallel to the conveyor if required. The novelty is that the assembly (10) incorporates flaps (24, 26) left and right which enfold the cadaver during cutting, and that the opened flap mechanism may then be moved vertically to release the split cadaver.
