Sharpener for use with knives with esp. convex point angled blade

The sharpener has two straight sided truncated cones (4,5) with a common axis of symmetry (11). The sharpening cones turn about an axis (6) which is at an angle to the axis of symmetry. The plane of contact of the two cones (8) is intersected by the axes of rotation and symmetry. The sharpening surfaces (7) come together without forming a narrow slit. The cones are held in a bearing which is open and can be played on by a jet of water.
