A stereolithographic resin composition containing as the essential ingredients 100 parts by weight of a cationically polymerizable organic compound, 0.05-10 parts by weight of an energetic ray-sensitive cationic polymerization initiator, and 3-100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer. The stereolithographic method of the invention can provide from this composition high-precision moldings which are improved in impact resistance, reduced in volume shrinkage, and free from warpage and distortion even when cured.
