The applicator applies an accurately dosed quantity of the viscous medium (3) to a surface using a dosing plate (1) with at least one opening (2) and a cooperating counter-plate (4) having at least one further opening (5). The underside (1b) of the dosing plate contacts the upper side (4a) of the counter-plate, with the relative position of the plates adjusted by displacement of one or other plate, to allow viscous material packed in the opening in the dosing plate via a rake (7) to be transferred to the opening in the counter-plate, for application to the surface via a hollow applicator tube (6). |
