A woven or warp-knitted fabric for arresting ballistic articles, e.g. fragments of a blade in an aircraft engine, is provided with substantially inextensible warp yarns (15a), e.g. of aromatic polyamide or high density polyethylene or polypropylene. The fabric may be warp-knitted and the warps (15) are interwoven with wefts (14a,b). |
