<p>A sheet pressing method using a die and a punch, comprises the steps of: (a) holding a sheet between the die and a blank holder to form a first contact surface between the die and the sheet and a second contact surface between the sheet and the blank holder ; (b) forming a third contact surface between the punch and the sheet ; (c) supplying a pressurized liquid to at least one contact surface ; and (d) pressing the sheet through the die with an aid of the punch. A sheet pressing apparatus comprises: (a) press means for pressing a sheet, comprising a die and a punch ; (b) blank holder for holding the sheet ; (c) liquid supply means for supplying a pressurized liquid into at least one contact surface. <IMAGE></p> |
