The tray is made from a single panel of synthetic material, cut out to the required shape and made with folds formed by lines of reduced thickness in the material. The panel is folded to form a base (3), side walls (4) and end walls (5), the latter having flaps to reinforce the tray's corners, while ribs formed by double folds give it greater rigidity. The panel has perforations in the shape of elongated transverse holes in rows and columns with unperforated strips between them. After folding into the appropriate shape the tray's side and end walls are joined together by strips (7a) along the top of the end walls, made with projecting tongues (8a) which fold over and engage with slots in both walls. In variants of the design, other fastenings can be used for the side and end walls, including separate studs or tongues. |
