PURPOSE: To prevent a display of date incurring users' distrust and eliminate such a state that users not aware of wrong time display without requiring a complex mechanism and a program therefor at the time of exchanging battery. CONSTITUTION: Arbitrary time information (for instance, a year) is stored in a nonvolatile storage device 5 such as an EEPROM and when a counter 4 is reset by the application of a power source by the exchange of battery, etc., a control circuit 2 reads out time information from the storage device 5 and sets the information in the counter 4. The set contents of the counter 4 are displayed on an LCD(2) 7. For instance, a comparatively recent year such as the shipping time of the camera is stored in the storage device 5, so that a display of the date incurring users' distrust and such a state that users not aware of the erroneous time display after battery is exchanged, can be prevented. |
