In a process for making compression mouldings from particles contg lignocellulose mixed with a thermosetting binder in a heated press. the particles have a moisture content is not >3-5% and are heated in the presence of a water free heat resistant binder so that the temp in the interior of the moulding is >=150 degrees C. Pref. the binder is a polyurethane. The impregnated wood products have greater dimensional stability.
