PURPOSE: To provide synthetic paper with a good water pen writing-property and printing adaptability. CONSTITUTION: Synthetic paper and manufacture thereof are such that a at least monoaxially oriented film is heat-press worked, which comprises a laminate sheet having a core layer of a compound made up of blending a total amount of 50-200 pts.wt. of 30-180 pts.wt. of cyclopentadinene resin at 160-200 deg.C measured by a ring and ball method of a softening point and 20-170 pts.wt. of inorganic filler powder, and a surface layer of a composition made of blending 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene resin and 70-400 pts.wt. of inorganic filler powder. In this manner, the paper can obtain an excellent effect in all points of ink absorbing property and ink spreading property comparing with non-press worked paper. |
