PURPOSE: To improve resistance to partial wear by forming the tread portion comprising the right and left tread sections divided in an axial direction by an annular groove substantially by combined hexagonal flat parts separated by narrow grooves. CONSTITUTION: A tire has continuos side walls from both ends of a cylindrical tread portion 2 to the inside in a radial direction. The tire reinforced by arranging across the width of the tread portion 2 a radial carcass spreading from one side wall of both side walls through the area of the tread portion 2 to the other side wall and a non-stretching belt layer disposed between the carcass and the tread portion 2. The tread portion 2 comprises a wide annular groove 4 and the right and left tread sections 5 which are divided in an axial direction by the annular groove 4. These tread sections 5 are formed substantially by combined hexagonal flat parts 7 separated by narrow grooves 6. According to this constitution the stiffness of the tire is uniform in all directions and does not produce partial excessive deformation on the flat parts 7, thereby hardly producing partial wear. |
